Devon Summer Games

Ilsham Academy had an amazing opportunity to be part of the Sainsbury's School Games.   The games offer a unique opportunity to motivate and inspire millions of young people across the country to take part in more competitive school sport. The Games are made up of four levels of activity, the first being a competition in schools, between schools.

 Ilsham sent a team of four budding tennis players to represent our Academy at Torquay Lawn Tennis club and after six exciting games came out as the winning team.  This meant the next stage was the Devon Summer Games in Plymouth. We attended the opening ceremony at Brickfields Athletics Club and were proud to represent Torbay in our bright blue tee-shirts.

On Friday 8th May we took park in the VE Day Celebrations. As you can see a memorable day was had by all!

   

     

Mrs Bennett made the VE Day cake which was raffled off and monies will go towards our school charity 'Oasis Relief'.
